A Review of Popular Punta Cana Hotels

Punta Cana is an affordable destination in a magnificent tropical setting. There are hotels that range from moderate to the luxurious. Capitalizing on cheap land and the virtually insatiable desire of Europeans for sunny holidays during the depths of winter, a half-dozen European hotel chains have rushed to acquire large tracts of sugarcane plantations and pastureland. As a result there are at least a dozen mega hotels, most with over 500 rooms, that attract a large clientele.

Some hotels in Punta Cana are designed by prominent Spanish architects - and are very impressive. They include all kinds of amenities from offering delicious food, drink, exceptional entertainment to sports activities and business facilities. Visitors can find hotels to suit both their budget and taste. Some hotels have their own Web sites and booking facilities while information on others can only be accessed through government tourist centers on arrival.

Accommodations offer air conditioning, telephone, television, mini bar and broadband Internet access.

The Barcelo Bavaro Golf and Suites is a deluxe hotel located 13 miles from Punta Cana Airport. It is also convenient to reach the hotel from the Santo Domingo Airport. Awakening from the Dream, Divine Source through Barbara Rose

Greetings my Dear Beloved Souls

We have heard your cries, your questions, your endless searching for answers to awaken from the dream of darkness, separation, despair and seeming hopelessness during many "times."

It is imperative for you all to know that as long as you believe you are somehow "separate" from Divine Source, the pain will continue ? as this is what the "illusion" is, and has been since the dawn of humanity.

Divine Source is One, and exists as all of the creations that you see. At the same time, there are aspects of each particle of individual existence that do display what is called free will and choice. As long as "free will and choice" choose to see an apparent separation from Divine Source, pain is felt on some level.

This is mostly known as fear ? and thus is the saying: "False Evidence Appearing Real."

Many of you have heard similar messages in the past as truth is quite persistent ? and unfailing. What many of you are not "getting" is that in the "apparent" "illusion" you are still one with Divine Source. You can choose to consciously live your lives as the beings of light that you have come to love, pray to, worship, and ask for guidance from. All aspects of Source are equal. All aspects of Source are part of One Source, and there are droplets ? just as you have droplets of ocean water that are still part of the same ocean. Please allow yourselves to move deeper into the heart center where all of your truth exists, and cease to look for answers outside of your heart.

If you ask for guidance, this is fine, however, no person or book or thing can ever cause you to feel the oneness that you are. You can debate or trust. You can seek or find. You can keep searching in vein because there is only one place where you will come to find and feel peace, and this place is within your heart ? and your conscious awareness of your heart center ? this is the most important place in which to "reside" and this is your heart center.

If you are looking for a complicated answer, then I cannot give that to you ? as truth is quite simple. It is the ego ? that seeks and disbelieves, and looks, judges, questions and causes frazzled nerves and emotions that are discordant.

Simply look within your heart ? and there is your connection to Divine Source. Simply live completely from your heart center ? and you will be living as the Angels and Ascended masters live, as well as other beings of light that have come to conscious awareness of their heart ? it is this realization that will bring you inner peace, and quite frankly, no other.

There is no "fix" ? there is only love. This may sound too simple ? however, the truth and love are the simplest concepts given unto you and yet the egoic mind continues to seek "out there somewhere" for an answer. The answer exists within love. Love exists within your heart. When you align your mind with your heart and live solely and completely from this place ? you can then come to know, see, feel, experience and live as an example of "enlightened" inner peace.

The answer is simple, and the experience of living purely from the heart center is profound. It is peace filled ? there is not "me" and "you" ? there is only "us" as we are all One, and we always will be!

Please refrain from seeking outside of your being for the "cure" to humanities woes ? when the cure stems from the heart center of each "individual" aspect of the One.

You are never separate or alone ? ever. You are always "at One" with Source ? because you are Source.

So when you say to yourself: "I am Source, and Source is pure love, so I am pure love and will only live my life as pure love" this is all that matters.

Now, if each "individual" aspect of Source did this ? alas ? humanity would be filled with inner and outer peace on all levels.

Many, so many of you are truly getting there. So many of you are choosing love over fear. Faith in heart over ego and might. Purity of motive over false idols and perceived "value" in outer symbols of worship.

So many of you are truly awakening at levels that have been attained on Earth before by the Ascended masters that have shown humanity the way before.

Now is no different. It just appears to be.

Please know that every answer to your every question is in your heart. Move your mental focus on to your heart, and you will come to feel "at one" with the oneness that you always have been and always will be. The "illusion" is that you are separate. The "connection" to Oneness is in your heart ? filled with pure love.

Please remember this message as it will serve you every time you question "the big picture." The answer to the big picture is love.

We watch you in joy as so many of you have become beacons for your own selves and are living a "higher" more love-filled existence to show the way for others that still are searching in the seeming dark.

Search your heart, the answer lies within and the answer will always be love.

Live as love ? and you will then always be living as "The One" in all ways and for always ? as that is what we all are.

I bid you Peace and you are so dearly loved for eternity!

Sales Copy Tips

Writing good sales copy is not an art, it is a science. There is no reason to get creative here. You want to follow the formula that has been proven to work.

Nevertheless, I am always surprised at how many sales letters on the internet can be improved upon.

Here are a list of some helpful tips when writing your own sales copy:

  • Make your Unique Selling Point (USP) very clear. Separate yourself from your competition. What is it that makes your product stand out from the other's?

  • Transfer Ownership. Your sales copy should make your reader imagine they have already bought your product. Use the word "you" often. Such as "you need", "your results", "you will achieve", "you will feel" etc. This way they'll already become emotionally attached before they buy. This is precisely why people who sell products at online auctions start their bids extremely low. Once someone has placed a bid they imagine they own the product and are more likely to participate in a bidding war.

  • Turn your sales copy into a story. This will draw them in without them even noticing you are selling them something. They'll already be interested when they get to your sales pitch.

  • Create Urgency. Make sure you show your reader that they are getting a bargain. Tell them the usual price you sell your product for is $99. Then tell them if they order today they can buy it for $69.95.

  • Direct your attention grabbing headline to a specific target audience. Your readers will feel important that belong to a select group of people who buy your product. For example; "New Teachers! Discover the Simple Strategies You Can Use Right Now to End Discipline Problems Forever!"

  • Tell your reader how fast they can receive your product or service. Their buying decision may be based on how fast they can receive your product. They may need it by a certain deadline.

  • Sell with BENEFITS. A benefit is not what the product does, a benefit is something the product does for you. Use bullets to highlight your product or services benefits. Benefits are the key to selling anything; make them standout in your copy. You can use dots, dashes, or circles to highlight them.

  • Completely remove the risk of purchasing your product. Give a money back guarantee that surpasses a normal one. Instead of the normal timed guarantee, give them extra back. Tell them they can keep the free bonuses or give them an extra long guarantee such as a one-year guarantee, or even a lifetime guarantee.

  • Create added value with bonuses. Tell your reader they'll receive surprise bonuses. This'll raise your reader's curiosity and make them want to buy so they can find out what the surprise bonuses are. Just make sure the bonuses are related to your product!

  • Let your reader know this specific package will not be offered again. You must create urgency so people buy now. You may always sell the same product but not with the same bonuses or price.

  • Establish credibility. Give your readers a couple tips in your sales copy that will help them with their problem. This will give you and your business credibility and gain your readers trust to buy your products or services. Oh yeah?Don't Forget to Ask For The Order!

    Are You a PR Chowderhead?

You are if you stand by while your public relations people futz around with communications tactics instead of nailing down those outside audience behaviors that help you reach your objectives.

No slap at communications tactics. They come in real handy at the right time, as noted later in this piece.

But the real public relations opportunity lies with this reality: People act on their own perception of the facts before them, which leads to predictable behaviors about which something can be done. When we create, change or reinforce that opinion by reaching, persuading and moving-to-desired-action those people whose behaviors affect the organization, the public relations mission is accomplished.

What it does for you, is put the spotlight where it belongs by delivering the key external audience behaviors you need to help achieve your mission objectives. So look at tactics for what they are -- no substitute for a primary public relations effort.

For example, change perceptions and, thus, behaviors among those important outside audiences of yours, then watch for activity like customers making repeat purchases, capital givers or specifying sources looking your way, prospects starting to do business with you, community leaders seeking you out, organizations proposing strategic alliances and joint ventures, and legislators and political leaders viewing you as a key member of the business, non-profit or association communities.

It just isn't that hard to do it right.

Check out the PR work underway in your unit for activities like these. Has anyone listed those outside audiences with the greatest impact on your specific operation? Has that list been prioritized according to the severity of those impacts?

Do you have any real idea of how those key target audiences at the top of the list perceive your organization? That's really important because, as the fundamental premise cited earlier notes, those perceptions inevitably morph into behaviors that can help or hurt achieving your unit objectives.

Of course there's work involved in pulling this off. You, your colleagues or somebody, must get out there and interact with members of that key target audience.

And ask a lot of questions like "Have you heard of us? Have you had contact with us? Was it satisfactory in all regards?" Of course, all this time you are listening carefully for any negativity while staying alert for evasive or hesitant responses, and especially for untruths, inaccuracies, rumors or misconceptions.

The data you collect, you will use to establish your public relations goal, i.e., the specific perception to be altered, followed by the desired behavior change. In other words, your objective here is to correct those untruths, inaccuracies, misconceptions and rumors.

But goals are worthless without strategies. Happily you have three of them to choose from: create perception/opinion where there isn't any, change existing perception, or reinforce it. Let your public relations goal point to the obvious choice.

Now you put on your writer's hat and write a really persuasive bit of prose ? the corrective message you will use to create, change or reinforce individual opinion among members of that target audience. Clarity is really important, as is accuracy and believability. The more compelling the message is, the more it helps alter what a lot of people believe, so try hard to "compel" the reader.

Luckily, you have a herd of "beasts of burden" ? the communications tactics mentioned earlier ? that will carry your "message of inspiration" to the eyes and ears of your target audience.

The tactics range from newsworthy surveys, all kinds of speeches and letters-to-the-editor to press releases, brochures, radio and newspaper interviews and just about everything in between. One caveat: make sure the tactics you select have a proven record of reaching people like those in your target audience.

Pretty soon you will ask yourself, "Are we making any progress in altering the offending perception?" Assuming you don't want to spend a lot of money on professional opinion surveys, (any more than you did earlier in this drill), you'll have to remonitor that target audience's perceptions.

Big difference this time is, you'll be watching carefully to see, while asking the same questions again, to what degree the offending perception has now been altered. In other words, how much that perception is actually moving in your direction, AND how likely it is to deliver the behaviors you really want.

That is to say, you have no chance of becoming a chowderhead when you use the fundmental realities of public relations to safely nail down the outside audience behaviors that help you reach your objectives.

Lets Not Hurry Children Through Childhood

Have you ever experienced one of those days when you wanted to return to the carefree days of childhood when your biggest worry was how you could con your parents into staying up a little longer at night. Have you ever thought that you would like to be a child once more when the biggest decision for the day was choosing which topping put on your ice cream?

While this worry-free existence maybe idealised, there is little doubt that most parents want to capture this carefree, happy feeling for their children.

But many children feel the same stress that adults feel. In a culture that values success they can easily be pressured to grow up to quickly. It appears that the pressure for children to perform is perhaps strongest in the United States.

American author Dr. Gail Gross writes, "Many parents seek to create "super kids," pressuring their children into becoming premature adults and making them overly competitive. Ironically, in their eagerness to create an academic prodigy, overzealous parents often create an underachiever."

My feeling is that many parents in Australia are unwittingly going down the American parental track of raising kids to develop academically at a quicker rate ? i.e. to be smarter and more competent but at a younger age.

Dr. David Elkind, author of The Hurried Child, advises parents to let children be children. His research suggests that students are more likely to have academic success if they were not hurried through their early childhood by parents who overestimate their child's competence and overexpose them to academic experience.

Ironically, when parents release the pressure and focus on developing children's general well being they perform better in the long run. The London School of Economics Centre for Economic Performance followed the fortunes of all babies born in the first week of April 1970 in Britain. There was clear evidence that children with a higher self-esteem at the age of 10 got as much kick to their earning power as those with higher maths, reading and other academic abilities. They had less chance of being unemployed later in life and if they were, they would soon be back in the workforce.

To avoid hurrying children through childhood it helps to honour their natural instincts to play and avoid continually turning their play into work or even some type of learning experience. Play fosters creativity and reduces stress. Play is a life skill that many adults have forgotten about.

It helps for children to have plenty of free time when they can just hang around and basically do nothing. It is strange but in our increasingly achievement oriented culture the notion of free time is equated with laziness or lack of ambition. Adults and children can benefit from some free time when nothing productive is achieved whatsoever.

It also helps to remember that children may act grown up but they don't often feel grown up. While it maybe possible to accelerate their academic development it is impossible to accelerate their emotional maturation.

A post World War 2 British mental health inquiry concluded that the major contributor to an adult's general wellbeing and happiness was the existence of a happy childhood. By ensuring that children have a long, happy childhood we provide a solid foundation for happy, well-adjusted adulthood.

Childhood is an important stage of life that needs to be protected and valued by adults. It is a stage of life worth preserving for as long as we can, not something to be rushed through.

Prepaid wireless service and phone cards are a convenient, reliable way to make prepaid local, long distance and international calls. Secured Loans vs. Unsecured Loans ? Choosing Between the Two Diverse Ends

Often in our search for finance options, we are led into a crossroad where we have to make a choice between secured and unsecured loans. Both are equally alluring and put the borrower in a difficult spot. It is difficult to make up the mind regarding one particular finance option because each has their share of advantages and disadvantages. What makes it more difficult to decide upon the finance option is that both secured and unsecured loans have a conflicting set of features, and the disadvantages of one are countered by the other.

    Secured loans vs. Unsecured loans

Secured loans are the most conventional method of financing large sums of money. Even in older times people used to take loans to use in agriculture or other such needs by keeping their lands as security. Unsecured loans, on the other hand are of a recent origin. Since secured loans required the borrower to keep his home as collateral, many people who were without homes or who did not prefer attaching homes to obligations were left without finance. This also hampered the lending business of the lenders because the group was sizable. Thus, unsecured loans were launched as an alternative to the secured loans.

    Misconceptions on Secured loans

There are many a myths doing rounds that have led to a sagging popularity of secured loans. People believe that by offering home as collateral they will have to move home until they repay the amount lent. People only transfer the ownership rights and not the right to live in the home. The lender can lay claim to the home only when the borrower does not repay the loan in full.

This will particularly interest the homeowners who do not take secured loans to protect their homes. Another important point that these people need to keep in mind is that they cannot escape the lender even on taking an unsecured loan. Though these loans are offered without any backing, the lender finds ways through which to recover the amount remaining on the unsecured loans.

This will shift a major part of the clientele for unsecured loans that comprises of the homeowners. However, unsecured loans continue to be the lifeline for the tenants. This is in spite of the fact that unsecured loans are more costly than the secured loans. The rate of interest charged from the unsecured loan customers is higher because of the larger risk involved.

    Credit requirements

One often gets to hear about credit history in the financial circles. Credit history is a record of the conduct of an individual in terms of the credit behaviour. Any failure by an individual on any debts, loans, or mortgages is immediately recorded in the credit file. Though lenders prefer the borrower to have a good credit history, they do not attach a special importance to it if the borrower is offering collateral. Home can back the loan if the borrower refuses to. The backing however is absent in an unsecured loan. This is why lenders demand a good credit history when offering an unsecured loan. Lenders who accept to offer unsecured loans with bad credit try to compensate the risk with a still higher interest rate.

Terms differ with a secured loan

With a Secured loan, you can in fact enjoy more favourable terms than the unsecured loans. Apart from the low interest rate, there are many more features exclusively for the borrowers of secured loans. Some lenders allow the borrowers to extend the period of repayment of the secured loans as much as they desire. Typical repayment period extends between 5-30 years. Extending the term of repayment however, increases the interest that a borrower will have to pay. Borrowers can discuss with experts about the optimum term that will lessen the interest cost without increasing the burden on the monthly income.

Whatever be the option chosen, adequate consideration must be given to the conditions under which the option is to work. A particular finance option that did wonders to your friends finances, need not necessarily work in the same manner in your case. Instead of improving the situation, they sometimes back fire with serious consequences for the finances. Taking second opinion is always beneficial since it helps to test the validity of the advice offered by your lender.

    Head First

I stepped up to the edge and looked down. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath... and jumped in head first.

The summer I turned 13 was spent at the swimming pool. We swam at a huge olympic size pool with three diving boards at one end, two low dives and one high dive.

I had bragged to my friends that I could execute the perfect swan dive off the high board. Eventually, I was challenged to prove it. No problem. I believed that I could. In my imagination, I saw myself walking to the edge of the board and launching! I believed I could that is until I began to climb the ladder. At the top I realized I had gotten into more than I could just jump out of. It was a lot farther looking down than looking up. I started to back out, but the next kid in line was at the top of the ladder yelling, "It's my turn!"

I heard the sound of other kids playing safely at ground level. I looked and saw the mocking smiles on the faces of my friends. I took a deep breath and dredged up my courage and jumped in head first.

For a moment, my dive was perfect. Then my feet flipped over my head and I landed with a terrific force in the most awful belly flop you could imagine. The wind was knocked out of me so badly I thought the lifeguard would have to fish me out.

I failed miserably, but I learned something. I learned to keep my big mouth shut. I also learned that sometimes the best way to reach your goals is to jump in head first. I have since learned that when you do accomplish your goals, your successes will affect many lives other than your own.

I read about a head firster recently. Anne and her brother Jim were a brother and sister with big problems. their mother died when they were young. Their alcoholic dad just disappeared. Anne legally blind, was only able to make out blurry shapes. Jim had a tubercular hip and walked with crutches. No one knew what to do with them so they were disposed of at the poorhouse in Tewksbury Massachusetts.

The Tewksbury poorhouse was a repository for human refuse. All the people that society did not have a place for ended up in places like this.

A living nightmare, Tewksbury housed children with the insane, the healthy with the contagious. The food was always bad, often rotten. At night, The rats were in charge.

Anne insisted that she and Jim be together. A wish that was honored until Jim died suddenly in the night. Anne was all alone now. Afraid but sure she could do better.

Her chance for escape came when an investigative committee came to tour the Tewksbury facility in response to rumors of ill treatment and misconduct.

This committee was led by Frank Sanborn. Anne knew that Sanborn could get her out of Tewksbury, if she could just get his attention.

Anne followed the investigators from room to room trying to discern which of them was Sanborn. When the committee ended their tour and was about to leave, Anne still had not identified Sanborn.

Anne literally jumped in head first. She dove into the midst of the entire committee. grabbing hold of skirt hems and pant legs, she pleaded - "I don't belong here! I want to go to school!".

Anne's plea did get Sanborn's attention. He helped her get out of Tewksbury and into school. 6 years later at the age of 20, Anne graduated from the Perkins School for the blind as the valedictorian of her class. She even received surgery to correct her eyesight.

This could be the end of a happy story, but Anne's successes extend far beyond her own life. Anne's habit of jumping in head first was about to help someone else.

Anne received a call requesting that she become the private teacher to a difficult student. She had become quite an innovative educational theorist. Now it was time to exercise her theory's in real life.

When Anne arrived at the home of her new student, she saw that she did have an incredible challenge before her. As usual, Anne dove in. Working with her new student day and night she was able to pierce the darkness and break through the silence that had held her pupil captive.

The teacher, Annie Sullivan was able to finally reach through and communicate with her student, Helen Keller.

When it is time for you to reach for your dreams, close your eyes, take a deep breath... and jump in head first.

How to Fish Spring Trout Streams

Fishing spring creeks isn't easy. Don't expect large quantities of catches, but do expect a challenging experience which has a certain mystique about it. Catching just a few trout, will give you a feeling of accomplishment.

Spinfishing is illegal on most spring creeks, but you can use a variety of flyfishing methods such as sight casting to "rooters" burrowing in aquatic plants for scuds, nymphs and sow bugs. You can slap out chunky streamers to tease big fish from deep, dark pools. You can fish terrestrials during no-hatch periods, or you can wait patiently for mayfly emergences, when trout rise furiously all around you.

Delicate presentations are important, so keep your tackle light. Use an eight to nine foot rod taking a No. 4 to 6 weight-forward or double-taper floating line, plus an eight to 14 foot knotless leader tapering to a 4X to 7X tippet is perfect.

Keep in mind that your casting positions can be critical in determining whether your fly is snatched up boldly or ignored on spring creeks. Try different deliveries from several different locations to find which is best. Try quartering upstream across a downstream casts until you get just eh right float to fool a particularly difficult trout.

Know what stage of insect the trout are consuming. This can vary from fish to fish and from minute to minute as the hatch progresses. When the first mayflies appear, most trout feed on the emerging insects drifting in the surface film as they struggle to free themselves from their nymphal skins. Always carry a good supply of emerger imitations when fishing a spring creek hatch.

Understanding the Process of Credit Counseling

Many of us have seen the advertisements on television. "Get out of debt fast!" "We can solve all your credit problems with only one call!" These sound really great but you know that, realistically, one call is not going to solve your credit problems.

If it were so fast and easy to get out of debt the credit card companies and these agencies advertising on television would be out of business very soon. Credit counselors can help you to understand your credit problems and to devise a plan to help you to manage your debt. They do this by providing services to you for a fee or for free if it is a non-profit organization. Some agencies will provide a free debt analysis to determine the best way in which they can service your needs. The following is a guide to help you understand how credit counseling works and if credit counseling is right for you.

The first step you should take is to decide if you do have a debt problem. For some it may be obvious, but for others they may not recognize the problem until they are faced with a collection agency. If you are only making minimum payments on your credit cards, or taking cash advances to pay bills, then you may need to seek advise from a credit counselor.

When you contact a credit-counseling agency, ask questions. Ask about the company and what programs they offer. Contact the Better Business Bureau to find out the facts about their history. Make sure to ask about all fees and charges; you are trying to get out of debt, not obtain more!

After you have chosen a credit counseling agency usually they will take a look expenses, income and debts. Most require you to participate in a debt management seminar, some longer than others to educate yourself about money management and budgeting as well as information on credit and finances. Some agencies charge a fee to attend the class, for others it is free.

You should know that even while you are seeking credit counseling, the company in which you owe money could continue to try and collect by any means necessary. However, most credit companies will see that you are trying to get your debt under control and work with you to solve your debt problems without bankruptcy.
